I had the privilege of attending the Logan Utah Temple. When I returned to my car, I found this sweet note on the window. So grateful for whoever took the time to share this small act of kindness. It’s a beautiful reminder that gathering Israel happens one heartfelt gesture at a time 💛

Since I have a break from school in July, I’ve decided to commit to walking every day to strengthen my body. I need to stay active to manage my leg disability from myelitis five years ago and to function better in my daily routine.

To help keep me motivated, I signed up for the 62-mile walk challenge with the American Cancer Society. I’m really excited about this win-win opportunity!

ときどき乗車券のチェックに車掌さんが車内を回ってきます。

昨年12月に末日聖徒イエス・キリスト教会の宣教師に召されて、3月にユタ州でミッショナリートレーニングを受けていた吉田長老は、3/22に訓練を終えて、ニューヨークシティ伝道部に赴任しました。

ホームズ伝道部会長のもとで、これから宣教師として奉仕します。

吉田長老と一緒に写っているお医者さんは、ユタ州に住んでいた幼い頃お世話になっていたかかりつけ医のウィルモア兄弟です。響喜のことを覚えていてくださったそうで、懐かしの再会でした!

Elder Yoshida finished training at the MTC last Thursday and arrived on his mission field in NYC! His mission president, President, and Sister Holmes welcomed him, and he was excited about being part of the work!

In the other pic, he was with Dr. Wilmore, our family doctor, when we had lived in Provo, Utah. He had a chance to say hello to him while he was in the MTC. Dr. Wilmore remembered him, and that was a happy reunion!

As I watched the three of them descending the stairs leading to the station,
I thought to myself, how cool they were!
It was like the Avengers were walking into the battlefield
with conviction and honor to save some lives!
I could tell they carried a sense of dignity as priesthood holders
and that self-respect was radiated from them, which is super cool!

And then, I was overwhelmed
with tremendous gratitude
for the support our family has received
from everyone all these years,
from their childhood to their youth and beyond.
We are where we are today because of all of you
who have walked us through along the way.

Thank you so very much
for your love and support.
We love you so much!
We wish you a very merry Christmas,
and may the spirit of Christmas fill your heart with joy in this special season!

駅に３人の息子たちを降ろしてきました。
今日は教会の神権会というミーティング。
父親なしで，両親からうるさく，行くのか行かないのかという
フォローアップをされることなく行ったのは，
これが初めてではないでしょうか。
乗った電車では遅刻が目に見えていましたが，
それでも駅に続く階段を降りていく３人を見ながら，
「かっこいいな〜」と思っていました。

たくましさの中に優しさが滲み出ていて，
神権者としての誇りとか使命とかを背中に漂わせて，

Elder Muzembo has returned home after two years of service with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Nagoya Mission. While waiting for his luggage to come out, just by looking at him through the glass door, I felt that he had worked hard and accomplished a lot, and I just wanted to shower him with big "welcome back" hugs💛.

It was an unexpected surprise to experience something close to the certainty that God, our Heavenly Father, must feel when we return to Him. It made me realize how perfect God's plan is and how happy I am to live my life within it ✨.

I want to send most loving gratitude to Gracia for sharing this with so many people over the past two years. You really did a great job ✨and thank you for being willing to do it💛.

ムゼンボ長老が末日聖徒イエス・キリスト教会名古屋伝道部での2年間の奉仕を終えて帰還しました。スーツケースが出てくるのを待っている間、ガラス越しに見える姿だけで「頑張ったんだな、やり遂げたんだな」っていうのを感じ、ただただ「おかえり」のビックハグを浴びせたい気持ちになりました💛

There was a warning for Typhoon Yun Yeung's approach.
The media rang the bell for a sign of heavy rain from the day before.
We all were aware of getting ready for an abnormal day.

I go to work by bike or on foot.
But I had to leave my house earlier than usual to arrive at work on time if I drove my car.
The street in front of my apartment gets busy during the morning commute.

I woke up, got ready to leave early, and walked out the door of my house.
The moment that I stepped outside, the bad feeling that I felt in my stomach became reality.
The view from the fifth floor revealed mile-long cars waiting for the green light.
It was the sight that jeopardized my on-time arrival by car.
The choice to walk seemed the most likely way to be on time.

Within the first few steps, I could instantaneously tell that I would arrive at work with soggy socks and soaking-wet clothes.
I felt sorry for my umbrella, which could not satisfy its role this morning.
The series of complaints came out of my mouth automatically.
I couldn't believe I had to walk in the heavy rain, though it was my choice.

Nagging would be a terrible choice to start the day.
To erase that negativity from my morning, I started to have a conversation with my maker.

"I made a plan, but it didn't work."
"But I am not upset at all."
"I am completely aware that things don't always work out the way they are supposed to."

As we continued our conversation,
I sensed the change in myself.
I no longer cared about my soggy socks or soaking-wet clothes.
The entire time I talked to Him, it was peaceful and delightful.
If I had been driving,
this would have been a different story.

In the car, I would have been frustrated by the long line.
I would have begged Him to arrive on time.
It would have been a one-sided talk or a mere request.

Walking in the rain gave me precious time with my Heavenly Father.
I loved it.
And that made my day.

There are times in our lives when we walk in the heavy rain.
It may not be as bad as you think if you walk with Heavenly Father.

次男、響喜が高校を卒業しました。式典中、校長賞に彼の名前が呼べれたときには驚きましたが、毎日、セミナリーをやりコツコツと勉強していた彼の姿を思い出すと、「さすが!」と納得がいく光景となりました。

響喜がここまで成長できたのには、この投稿を読んでくださっている方々と、ここでは繋がれていないたくさんの方々の助けがあったからです。いつかみなさん一人ひとりに直接お会いして感謝をお伝えしたいですが、この場でも「ありがとう」をお伝えさせてください。

響喜の成長には親としても感慨深いものがあります。響喜の幼少期にはたくさん悩みましたが、それ以上にたくさんの、みなさんという天使がわたしたちの周りに置かれて、ここまでやってくることができました。わたしたちのことを心にかけてくださっている神様に感謝の気持ちが溢れています。

Hibiki graduated from high school! He was honored to be a valedictorian! That was a surprise for all of us including himself.

We want to thank each one of you who is reading this post. We also want to give thanks to those who don't know this post but helped him during the course of his life. 次男、響喜が高校を卒業しました。式典中、校長賞に彼の名前が呼べれたときには驚きましたが、毎日、セミナリーをやりコツコツと勉強していた彼の姿を思い出すと、「さすが!」と納得がいく光景となりました。

響喜がここまで成長できたのには、この投稿を読んでくださっている方々と、ここでは繋がれていないたくさんの方々の助けがあったからです。いつかみなさん一人ひとりに直接お会いして感謝をお伝えしたいですが、この場でも「ありがとう」をお伝えさせてください。

響喜の成長には親としても感慨深いものがあります。響喜の幼少期にはたくさん悩みましたが、それ以上にたくさんの、みなさんという天使がわたしたちの周りに置かれて、ここまでやってくることができました。わたしたちのことを心にかけてくださっている神様に感謝の気持ちが溢れています。

Hibiki graduated from high school! He was honored to be a valedictorian! That was a surprise for all of us including himself.
